New Max Lucado Book Giveaway!!!!

This last weekend I finished reading Max’s new book called Max on Life. The book is a collection of over 150 questions asked by every day people living out everyday situations. It is broken down into 7 sections, including topics such as hope, hurt, home and the hereafter. His writing so beautifully answers the questions were sent to him. It is filled with stories, scriptures, analogies and truth that goes to the heart of the questions. Truths shine from the book and it doesn’t give a fluffy answers to some of the difficult questions that arise.

Max on Life: Answers and Inspiration for Today's Questions

Pros:

  • Big variety of questions on all topics of life.
  • Skillfully written nuggets of truth that would be easy to encourage someone else in a similar situation.
  • Some of the questions are thought-provoking and not readily discussed in church. (At least I haven’t heard some of the topics discussed in church.)

Cons:

  • In a couple of sections the questions and answers almost seem redundant, not often but I did notice it.
  • If these weren’t your questions, or not something that was on your heart it is really easy to just breeze by.

One thing that I loved about this book is in the section for the hereafter; the excitement it causes looking forward to a day of being in Heaven. It is illustrated so wonderfully throughout the series of questions. One of the analogies that he used was that our lives here on earth was like being in the womb. Just as being in the womb prepares the child for entering the world, living our lives prepares us for spending eternity in Heaven.

So this time for the book giveaway I wanted to do it a little different. For one, everyone has until the end of the week to register. Winner will be announced on Friday. AND you can enter daily by commenting on this blog or on my facebook.
